Kevin shares the personal story that inspired his book Beyond Blind Blaming. As a kid, he went from being an incredible baseball player to missing every pitch for an entire season. Everyone blamed his attitude and performance—until doctors discovered the real problem: he could barely see without glasses. That experience became the foundation for his work helping people uncover the real root causes behind their struggles.
Dave and Kevin also explore how blind blaming shows up in business. Entrepreneurs frequently assume their marketing, sales team, or systems are the problem, when the real issue might be their offer, business model, or target market.
Kevin introduces his simple RCD framework for breaking out of the blame cycle:
